About me
I’m Hossi, a visual and graphic designer and photographer, born in Tehran, based in Hamburg. I moved to Germany in 2015 to study design and graduated from the Köln International School of Design. Since then, I’ve worked with agencies and studios across Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg, while also collaborating with a wide range of private clients.
My work is driven by curiosity, color, problem-solving, and a sense of minimalism. I find inspiration in the everyday, whether I’m walking through the city with my camera, cycling through the seasons, visiting museums and galleries, or simply watching a documentary. I believe stories live in textures, shadows, and subtle contrasts. In both my design and photography, I aim to capture these moments with a clear, minimal aesthetic that lets emotions and details speak for themselves.
Typography, especially across different languages, is something I use often and value deeply. I’m fascinated by how rhythm, form, and cultural nuance shape the way we read and feel words. It’s not just visual, it’s emotional.
“I see this world simply, it is a source of endless delight.”
That’s why I always have my cameras with me. They even have names, Vivian and Saul, and they follow me almost everywhere. I walk a lot, always looking for a frame, a mood, a quiet story, whether in the city, deep in nature, or by the sea. Being outdoors gives me energy and joy, it’s where my thoughts feel light and ideas arrive gently.

Sports have always been part of my rhythm. I ride my bike in every season, in all weather. I’ve been a big football fan since childhood. And recently, I joined a table tennis club, which keeps things playful, focused, and full of motion.
Music, cinema, and poetry are woven into my daily life. They shape my work, influence my lifestyle, and offer constant inspiration. I love going to concerts, I see poetry in things, and I believe design should make you feel something, even if it’s something quiet.
If you’re up for a design or photography collaboration, or just want to take a walk, grab a beer from a kiosk, or play table tennis in the park, write to me. Let’s do it for the joy.
