Description
I had a conceptual idea to craft a visual identity for the Amsterdam Book Fair. For my solution, I wanted to use the nature of the Netherlands as a source of inspiration. I was particularly drawn to the beauty of the tulip fields, a vibrant and iconic element of Dutch culture.
The challenge was how to create a meaningful connection between this natural motif and the visual language of a book fair.

A top view of tulip fields inspired me for the next steps. The shapes of the fields suggest a grid that can help guide the next phases of the design.
During the design process, I asked myself: How can I combine tulip fields, a symbol of the Netherlands, with the shape of a book to represent a book fair?
