Description
I’ve created a series of visual designs inspired by the word ‘Bahar’—which means spring in Persian (Farsi). In the Persian calendar, the first day of spring marks the beginning of the New Year, making Bahar a powerful symbol of renewal and celebration.
Using the base form of the word, I focused on its central letter ‘H’ and repeated it within a grid system to form a pattern that evokes the rhythm and energy of blooming blossoms.
Throughout the design thinking process, I aimed to bridge the cultural and linguistic gap—finding a visual language that would communicate the essence of Bahar even to those unfamiliar with Persian script or language.

Here, I’m researching the medial ‘H’ in the word Bahar (Spring) across different modern typefaces designed by Iranian designers, to see which typeface can best evoke a blossom-like form with the least amount of modification.
