Description
Zahra and Lutz asked me to photograph their wedding and design their wedding card – and I had the joy of doing both.
Each of them wrote a poetic text describing how they got to know each other, in their own mother tongue – Zahra in Persian, Lutz in German. I integrated both languages into the card design, giving their personal stories space to meet visually, just as they had in life.
For the wedding card, I drew inspiration from Henri Matisse’s “The Heart (Le Cœur)” – a bold yet tender work that matched the spirit of their connection. The final design blended expressive color with elegant simplicity, reflecting their joyful, artistic, and heartfelt celebration.
Their day was intimate and full of warmth, laughter, and gentle emotion. I documented it in a quiet, cinematic way, focusing on poetic details, natural light, and those in-between moments that say everything without words.
